Ronin Worldwide Tactical Training's core business is to provide advanced, close-quarters weapons training to police and military personnel. No doubt you have come to our website because you are interested in learning how to better defend a loved one and/or yourself from violent threats. If you are a law-abiding U.S. citizen who has made the decision to own the responsibility that comes with carrying a weapon of lethal force, we are now offering civilian training courses that will teach you combat-proven tactics designed to save your life.

The nature of our tactical training curriculum is actually very easy to learn and to continue training with after you graduate from one of our courses. You don't need prior military or law enforcement experience to succeed with our gunfight training; however, continued training is required to ensure accuracy during body alarm response. In our Advanced Concealed Carry courses, we don't teach shooting stances intended for long-range accuracy or sport shooting (although we do that training too), but a simple and adaptable close-quarters combat shooting system. The course outcome will provide you with techniques for stress accuracy and shot placement. Our techniques work in real gunfights where deadly encounters create a high-stress situation requiring you to act immediately with a rapid and accurate firing response needed to win.

At its core, the simplicity of the shooting system that we're talking about is just the effective use of human physiology. Essentially we teach our students to adapt and leverage their Body Alarm Response (BAR) to protect themselves, and their weapon, using a shooting system called Center Axis Relock (C.A.R.). C.A.R. was invented by Paul Castle (more about Paul later) and is a shooting system based upon the body's natural reaction in a life-threatening situation.  In short, the Center Axis Relock system features a bladed stance to minimize your exposed target area, a close-to-body firearm hold (remember, this is close-quarters or confined space gunfighting), both non-sighted and sighted firing positions, and ambidextrous weapon holds that may be changed depending on the circumstances of a dynamic environment. This differs from other shooting styles or stances, intended to address stationary paper targets from a shooting line, that may feature both a squared-off stance and the pistol held out and away from the body where it is difficult to retain and shoot in confined spaces and dynamic situations.

In order to get this training though, with live fire at our own firing range in Chilton, you must take our Advanced Concealed Carry course. In addition to C.A.R., because our course certifies you for the Wisconsin concealed carry permit, we also cover concealed carry law, use of deadly force law, civil liability, and explain the physical and psychological changes the body goes through when in a gun fight.

Our instructors have diverse backgrounds in a multitude of disciplines. Most notably is our lead instructor and owner of Ronin Worldwide Tactical Training, firearms expert Joseph Jakubicz. Mr. Jakubicz is a Honorably Discharged military veteran with close to 10 years of active duty experience. He has worked, deployed, and trained with military Special Operations personnel from each branch of the U.S. military, as well as militaries of foreign nations. He is a graduate of several military schools, is a certified firearms and explosives instructor, and is a global force trainer with international experience with the U.S. Department of Defense and international police forces. Mr. Jakubicz has worked as a civilian military contractor performing a variety of protection services in combat zones, and has trained police officers, civilians and members of the military in a verity of disciplines for most of his professional career. He holds degrees obtained with high honors in Criminal Justice from the State University of New York at Watertown and Marian University.  He is the graduate of the number two state law enforcement academy in the United States and is a former State Police Officer. He is a Master Firearms Instructor and has personally been trained by Paul Castle, the founder of the Center Axis Relock System, which is the foundation of the training that his company now performs.

Also on our instructor roster is Scott. Scott served in the U.S. Army as an Infantryman in the 10th  Mountain Division.  He spent 26 months in Iraq where he  served as a team leader and squad leader on combat patrols.  After active duty, he joined the U.S. Army Reserve where he currently serves as a Senior Instructor for small arms marksmanship, ranging from M9 (9mm), M16/ M4, M500 shotgun, and various machine gun types. Scott has been instructing with Ronin Worldwide Tactical Training since it was founded.

Our civilian instructor is Dan who has been a shooter most of his life, starting with his father teaching him the basics when he was 12 by putting him through Hunter’s Safety.  He has been shooting competition for well over 16 years now, is a master class shooter in the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) and International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA). He also competes in 3-Gun matches, which included the DPMS TRI-Gun match in St. Cloud, Minnesota which he worked as a Range Officer. Dan shoots and worked numerous local, state and National USPSA/IDPA matches.  In 2004, Dan received his National Range Officer Certification from USPSA and completed the NRA Certified Instructors Course for basic pistol and defense in the home. Dan also has been shooting Trap for over 25 years. He is a member of the ATA (Amateur Trapshooting Association) and classified as a AA shooter.  Dan is also a NRA/ATA Certified Shotgun Coach for the Fond du Lac High School Trapshooting club.  Dan is on Pro Staff for Crimson Trace Laser Grips. In March of 2012, he was able to work with Iain Harrison, Top Shot season 1 winner, who now works for Crimson Trace.

As we mentioned before, the late Paul Castle was the inventor of the Center Axis Relock shooting system. Paul was a distinguished police officer in the United Kingdom who served in a number of capacities, including providing protection for Her Majesty, the Prime Minister, and transportation for high profile criminals. He's trained with a long, long list of military and tactical operation units and was also an instructor at the FBI Firearms Instructor School.

We believe that the Center Axis Relock system will save our lives in a deadly encounter, and we believe it will save yours too. Because our instructors are ex-military operators and have been shot at, we are confident you will be more than satisfied with our courses. Would you prefer to fly across the ocean on a Boeing 747 with a Captain who has 30 years of actual heavy airline transport experience, or with someone who's only flown in flight simulators? We'd choose to entrust our lives with someone who has actual experience, and we hope you would too. Ronin Worldwide Tactical Training has the experience and expertise to help you achieve your self-protection goals. We look forward to training you!
